Adam Nash
Adam Nash, NCIDQ, IIDA, ASID, IDEC, WELL AP, EDAC, LEED Green Associate is
an Associate Professor of Interior Design at the University of the Incarnate Word. He holds a
Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master of
Art in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art & Design and is currently a Ph.D.
Candidate in Architectural Studies at the University of Missouri - Columbia.
Adam has held diverse professional interior design positions in residential & commercial
interior design, as well as a commercial furniture dealership before transitioning to a full-time
educator. He was a recipient of the 2019 American Society for Interior Design (ASID) Ones to
Watch Award in Educational Leadership and has served on the International Interior Design
Association (IIDA) Equity Council, the ASID Impact Review Task Force, and the Interior
Design Educators Council (IDEC) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity Committee.
Adam has both published and presented his research at professional conferences in the
United States, Canada, and Mexico, in addition to virtual presentations around the world. His
research focus includes topics such as the design of the built environment for combat veterans
and other underserved populations and best practices in undergraduate interior design education.
